Who is BATW Travel Agency?
BATW Travel Agency is a lifestyle travel agency that inspires people of color to travel more by curating epic travel adventures that speak to their unique interests. We do all the leg work, your job is just to show up and enjoy your vacation. We arrange travel for solo travelers, couples, and groups. Visit our About Us page to learn more about our services.
What are your office hours?
Our hours are from T-F, 10am-6pm. Saturday 11am-2pm. We’re closed on Sundays and Mondays are by appointment only. The best way to reach is us thru our customer service email at cs@batwtravels.com. Everyone on the team has access to this email so we can respond quicker. Please note, it may take up to 48 hours to receive a reply.
What is your refund policy?
Because travel has a lot of moving parts, we are unable to offer refunds. Previously we suggested everyone get travel insurance. As of 2022, we are now mandating travel insurance on all of our trips. This protects our clients, as well as us. We offer travel insurance on all of our trips, which is an additional fee. You are always free to get your own insurance and send us a copy.
How do I access my travel trip?
Once a trip is planned, we will send a confirmation. Once the trip is paid in full, we send all travel documents. For group travel, final itinerary is given (20-30 days before trip commences). You will also receive a live itinerary once payment is paid in full. Most payments are due 60 days before travel commences.
On group trips, can I be matched with someone to room with?
Yes, we offer roommate-matching assistance. So far, everyone we’ve paired up has made a new friend.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards. We cannot accept cash, PayPal, or Zelle unless under very extreme situations that calls for a different method of payment. For group trips, we will automatically deduct payment, we accept credit card authorization forms and credit cards over the phone.
What happens if I make late payment?
Please note trips are paid every month automatically taken out on the day you choose for the payment to be made from the 1st-20th, if you miss 2 or more payments, we have the right to forfeit your trip. If you are going to be late, we ask that you email us at cs@batwtravels.com ahead of time to alert of the late payment. Please note all late payments assess a fee of $50 each time a payment is late.
Is BATW Travel Agency insured?
Yes, we are certified with a TRUE and CLIA. We also hold a $1M general liability and E&L insurance policies.
Is travel insurance mandatory?
We recommend travel insurance through one of our insurance companies. If you wish to obtain your own insurance, we will send you a waiver of liability to sign.
