We just had a fantastic trip visiting Egypt and making wonderful new friends. We spent a few amazing days in Cairo, visiting the Giza light show, the Pyramids, and the Great Sphinx the next day. We also had a chance to visit the famous Egyptian Museum in Cairo. We were loaded onto a plane and flew out to Luxor. The following day was a fantastic trip to see the Karnak Temple. After a great visit, we were loaded on a Cruise ship for a five-day Nile cruise—outstanding accommodations and food. We had a chance that first night before we sailed off to see the Luxor Temple at night; all I can say was it was amazing. We had a fantastic few days on the ship and visited many impressive temples. We even had a chance to go up in a hot air balloon. Our last stop was Aswan, which has remarkable temples and a lot of sights to see. Let us not forget the unique Nubian Village towards the end of our trip. We had a chance to visit an elementary school, learn their letters, and have our names written on the school board. We were also allowed to visit one of the classrooms to see the children learn. We finished a fantastic tour, flew back to Cairo, and prepared for the long journey home. Also, be careful; you may earn new family members after the trip. This was our second wonderful trip with Been Around the World Travels. There was so much to see and do while in Bangkok. We were there for a few days going out on planned trips with plenty of free time in the evenings to go out and look around. I will say that the traffic is very bad out there so you will take some time to get to each location. But you can take a scooter for a faster trip. After a few days we left Bangkok and flew over to Phuket. What aa beautiful place with so much to do. The resort we stayed in was amazing. I had made plans for a first time solo train ride from Victoria Falls to Pretoria. BATWT added to my iteniary other excursions while I was in Africa. BATW curated a trip for my family to Kenya and Tanzania over this past New Year holiday. This was a first time in Africa for my parents, brother, and cousin (and me and husband’s 6th time to the continent), so there was a range of ages and expectations to meet. By all accounts, this was one of the best travel experiences we’ve had. In part because we were together, but also in large part because of Emily and her BATW team (and all of the local vendors they organized for us). We started our journey in Nairobi but the highlight of being in Kenya was the 3 days on Safari in Maasai Mara, everything about it was beautifully life changing!!! Emily made sure to incorporate opportunities to celebrate special moments too, like my brothers 40th birthday where we had a special private “Sundowner” out in the middle of the wild, including a fully stocked bar, performance by the Maasi people, bonfire, and the incredible hospitality of the team at the Zebra Plains Luxury Boutique camp. We also had the absolute BEST Safari guide, Boni, from Safari Classics (another outstanding vendor). Boni was like the African Crocodile Dundee, he left no stone unturned in his quest to ensure we saw every animal alive - and he was so fun and absolutely hilarious. I could go on and on, but our amazing adventure would not have been the same had it not been for Emily and BATW!! We appreciated that she paid attention to the details and when things went wrong (it’s developing countries, things will go wrong), Emily worked things until they were resolved so we didn’t have to. Tanzania (Zanzibar) was equally as memorable!!! We are grateful for Emily and the package and vendors she organized for us and we’ve already begun referring her to other family and friends…and will absolutely use her services again.
